cannot yum update repository in RH6

Hi

I am having some problems trying to install the RepoForge repository in a linux redhat 6 server(el6.x86_64). I downloaded the rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm and it was saved properly. Then I rpm -Uvh rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm, and I got a message that this package was already installed. But when I yum update to update the repository list I get the next error message:

Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: rpmforge. Please verify its path and try again

I ran these commands as root. What can I do to get this repo working?

Thanks in advance

Probably reinstall the repo file :

Code:
cd Downloads/
# yum reinstall ./rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
http://repository.it4i.cz/mirrors/re....rf.x86_64.rpm

first remove the "./" from this
Code:
yum reinstall ./rpmforge-release-0.5.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64.rpm
then remove the rest that is not needed
Code:
su -
-- password---
cd /to/the/location/you/saved/it

yum install rpmforge-release
also unless you HAVE a paid for and required support contract with redhat and have registered your install you CAN NOT INSTALL UPDATES
