The MRTG support said don't have live version.
And support is paid also the server is registered.
AGAIN: COMMUNICATE CLEARLY AND STAY ON TOPIC.
Your thread is about installing Cacti on RHEL via yum. Not MRTG 'live' version. AGAIN, you lied about your use of cacti in the past, and you will AGAIN be told that Cacti is not 'real time' anymore than MRTG is, period, ever.
FOR THE SEVENTH TIME NOW: REGISTER YOUR SYSTEM WITH RED HAT if you want to install cacti via yum. You *CLAIM* to be paying for support, so CALL the support you're paying for. Doesn't get much simpler than that. If you can't stay on topic, pay attention, and communicate clearly, it is FAR better if you don't post anything at all.
AGAIN, you *CLAIM* the server is registered...so then you need to explain why you got the VERY OBVIOUS message about it NOT being registered???? Having problems with a registered server? Then AGAIN..CALL THE SUPPORT YOU'RE PAYING FOR.
Yes, it's true, but you said MRTG could do what I need, and not.
The support there said they can't analyze in real time Cacti can.
The problem is putting Cacti to run in Red Hat.
Understood ?
Thanks,
Yes, it's true, but you said MRTG could do what I need, and not.
NO ONE here ever said MRTG could do 'real time', not in this thread or any of the other EIGHT you opened, anywhere.

"Support" Where??? WHO? Again, YOU SAID that you had used cacti in the past...and apparently a mystical, made-up version of Cacti that didn't graph. If you had EVER used Cacti, you would know that it IS NOT, HAS NOT, and NEVER WILL BE REAL TIME. It polls just like MRTG.

Yes, we've all understood since your first post. YOU do not understand the simple answer you got.
FOR THE NINTH TIME NOW: REGISTER YOUR SYSTEM, and TYPE IN "yum install cacti". THAT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION, PERIOD, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS????
How much more simple and plain does it need to be for you??? How did you manage to actually get a job if you can't understand that simple sentence???? Have problems with the command? Then use the support that YOU SAY you are paying for: CALL THEM, tell them the problem, and they will walk you through it on the phone.
And before you post some other garbage/nonsense, you CLAIM to have worked with Cacti in the past...we will spoon-feed you a link to the installation instructions from source:
..which you probably won't be able to follow, understand, etc., and we'll have to go through another dozen or so threads about you not typing in what you're told.
The error now is not related to registration, but something like a network issue, see:
yum install cacti
Loaded plugins: product-id, rhnplugin, security, subscription-manager
Look This==> This system is receiving updates from RHN Classic or RHN Satellite.

...and it took 21 posts, and NINE times telling you to register the system, before it occurred to you to give us this new information???
AGAIN: Have you contacted Red Hat support, since you CLAIM you're paying for it??? If not, WHY NOT? Did you even bother to look this error up in Red Hat's knowledgebase, where there is not only a description of this problem, but solutions for it? If you're paying for RHEL, you can access that documentation. Short answer: it's trying ipv6 because ipv4 is blocked, probably by firewall/selinux/whatever. Disable those things, or allow yum access.
If you can't show any effort of your own, can't communicate clearly, and plain IGNORE what you're told, there is no point in posting anything, anywhere. You were told MANY times to call Red Hat support...did you? None of us here probably need instructions on how to type in "yum install cacti".
And AGAIN, since you either missed it or ignored it, Cacti is NOT REAL TIME, like you keep harping about. Installing it won't make your problems go away. If you had not LIED about having used it in the past, you'd know this. If you have told your boss that it will work like that, they will find out shortly it won't. And it's not easier to configure than MRTG either...and you can't manage to do that.
Didn't You heard, I typed yum install Cacti more than one time and gave the same.
Yes, we heard. Unlike you, WE can all read, and understand, what is said.
Didn't "you heard", that you should CALL RED HAT SUPPORT??
Didn't "you heard" how to FIX the error, because you were spoon-fed a solution?
Didn't "you heard" that Cacti IS STILL NOT REAL-TIME, like you say?
Didn't "you heard" that it WILL NOT do what you want, and you would KNOW THIS if you had actually used it in the past???
Didn't "you heard" that you could look that error up yourself, if you showed ANY effort of your own, either in the Red Hat documentation, or by calling Red Hat, as you've been told to MANY TIMES now????
You apparently have very fundamental problems in comprehending what you're told, and communicating. If you actually told your boss that either MRTG or Cacti will do 'real time' monitoring, you have lied to your boss, as you've lied to us. I'm sure the quality of work you've displayed thus far will be rewarded in kind.
I didn't call the support, because the error given is not related to Operational System.
Sorry, but are you serious???
The system is telling you to run rhn_register...to register your system using a Red Hat tool, and you're then having problems with Satellite (ANOTHER pay-for product from Red Hat), and installing a package. It could not be anything BUT related to the RHEL system...ALL those components are RHEL related, that you PAY FOR, and are paying for SUPPORT for as well. Very plain and obvious.
And another thing...if you call Red Hat support about something, and it's NOT covered, guess what? They will TELL YOU THIS. So again, your first/best choice is to call Red Hat and tell them you can't install a package via yum. Because that is EXACTLY the error you're getting. They can THEN walk you through fixing your repository, IPv6 problems, DNS problems, etc....because THAT IS WHY YOU PAY THEM.
And AGAIN...why are you unable to follow the VERY simple instructions on installing cacti from source?????
