I need to build a source RPM for Apache 2.0.54 for a RH9 install as it doesn't seem that there are any available.
Upgrading this system is not that easy an option so.
I've never actually built a source RPM, is there any good guide somewhere on how to start, I've DL the source code itself from Apache.org but I don't assume this is what you need to build a source RPM?
Redhat 9 and belw are end of life products, that no longer get any updates and support. You should really think abut usig a newer distro thats still in active development. Take a look at this page on the Redhat wbsite, you will find some useful information.
As for your question, you rebild a source rpm on RH9 by doing,
