brightness on sony VAIO PCG-GRZ515G

I have Redhat 7.3 installed . i can't get the brightness functions for work. I've read some info
about jog dial and sonypid but i don't know where to start. I am not very experienced in this
kind of stuff, and the info i looked at on the jog dial seemed to say that installation could be
dangerous if you don't know what you are doing ...

Does someone have an idea ?
Thank you, claire
