Battery Meter


How do I get the battery meter to work I have a hp pavillion zt1175 notebook....???

right click on an empty spot on your launcher bar at the bottom
Add to this panel --->
utility--->
battery charge meter

That is how I added it to my Dell Inspiron 4150

And ofcourse, when not using Gnome/KDE, you could always just type 'apm' (without quotes) in a shell.

man apm for more info.

I understand how to add it. I guess what i should have asked is how to make it work? It shows but dosent work.

This is the error I get

Your computer doesn't have the Linux APM (Advanced Power Management) or ACPI software installed, or doesn't have the APM kernel drivers installed

How do i install it ??
