apt-get, driving me mad?

I need to apply a kernel patch, but i found that i donot heve got the patch package installed on my sweety

i usually use apt-get to install new packages as it takes care of the dependencies for me. Can i anyone give me some good package repositories for the apt-get because for the last two hours or so i am getting error:

E: Unable to find a source package for patch

Kindest
