A program not working in one login

HI,
I have two users (apart from root) in my Linux (Redhat 9), i have installed yahoo messenger. This application is running in root and one of the user login but in the other there is not even any kinda error message when the program is initiated, It simply doesn't work.
can i know why is that so ?
Any suggestions on how can i make the program work in this login too ?
