Tahrpup 6.0.5 Clamtk & Clamav install missing some dependencies and/or files ...

Hi People:
I am relatively new to Linux so please bear with me. I have a Tahrpup 6.0.5 installation on a 64GB usb flash drive. This install is on a HP EliteBook 840. I did a clamav & freshclam install. These installs were missing the clamd.conf and freshclam.conf. This did not matter because I had those from another puppy linux install I had. (I have uploaded them as .txt files, in case someone else had the same problem, I have allready configured the freshclam to work as root. Remember they have to end as .conf no .txt for them to work, so rename them). When I did the clamtk install it refused to work. The system tells me I am missing the following dependencies: libmime-base64-perl libnet-perl upstart-job I am a little lazy, so I would like the graphical interface of the clamav to work (clamtk). But when I look in the puppy installer I can't find them, to install them. Is there a way to manually install them or I am missing something? Thank you for your help in advance. |
Possible Solution ... (But dependencies are still missing????)
I started thinking. What do I have on my other puppy linux installation that this one does not have. I checked. In my other installation I had the following SFS packages :
devx google_earth jre (java) libreoffice Now I downloaded them and installed them with a utility I found in the puppy packages called: SFS_Installer-1.0-430.pet After I did that the clamtk interface started working. I am not removing this tread(post) because when I do a check for dependencies the system still tells me that the same 3 dependencies that I posted are missing, and that bothers me. I suspect that the only one that I had to install was the devx SFS file but I did them all just to be sure. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. |
