Recompiling the Puppy Kernel
Hi,
I recently compile a SMP kernel. I set the SMP flag in .config and did a make bzImage and make modules. I copy the modules out my boot and rename it vmlinuz. Instead of booting, I get the error message ERROR, cannot find Puppy on 'usbflash' boot media. PUPMODE=1 PDEV= Exit to initial-ramdisk(initramfs) commandline.. (the linux-guru can debug, 'e3' editor is available I looked in initrd, it appears that Puppy can't figure out which file system I am using. Has anyone who compile their own kernel chime in? Paul |
