Old Laptop 200 Mhz, 96 MB RAM: Will Puppy work?

This is a Fujitsu Lifebook 270DX with 200 mhz processer, and 96 mb ram. I loaded Xubuntu (alternate for computers with less than 128 mb ram) but the laptop is running super slow.

Would Puppy linux work fine on this laptop? Which would better Puppy or DSL?

Try 'em both. See which one performs better.

I'm using 3.01 on a Gateway Solo 2500, 333MHz PII, 96megs of RAM and 6.2 gig HD and it runs just fine!!!

I tried them both. Puppy 3.1 works pretty good--slightly slow. Dialup modem works and I can connect to internet. I have not yet been able to find a driver for the CompUSA PCMCIA ethernet card. DSL seems a bit faster but have not yet been able to connect to internet.
