I've found tcpdump tagged as 'Installed' in PPM, why I can't find a tcpdump command ?

I am using a Puppy Slacko 5.6 with a frugal installation in a pen dirve.

In Puppy Package Manager, 'tcpdump' is labeled as 'INSTALLED'. However, I cannot find a tcpdump tool/command/software in my file tree. Do I have to plug in another SFS?

Hello,
I don't know what system you're using, but on debian and debian-based(i.e. *buntu) distributions tcpdump is installed in /sbin and it's available only for root. I don't know about other distributions.
Generally tcpdump requires root permissions to 'hear' all packets coming through interfaces.

I hope that helps a little.

Bartek
