IPv6 in Puppy linux 5

I have installed a new modem that makes IPV6 possible, and switched IPv6 on at my provider. I can now use IPv6 addresses in addition to IPv4 addresses on all my boxes (Vista and Ubuntu) except the one that runs Puppy Linux 5.2.5.
How can I enable IPv6 on the Puppy box?

I found http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=25098. The scripts (/usr/sbin/net-setup.sh & /etc/rc.d/rc.network) listed there are older than those actually included in 5.2.5. I am not sufficiently knowledgeble to risk using these older scripts.

I doubt they support IPv6 in the standard pup.

ipv6 support
is this puppy kernel ipv6 ready?

in puppy 3.01 kernel 2.6.21.7 (unique puppy version working very well on my hp d530c pc)i tried:

http://puppylinux.org/wikka/IPv6

Consider a new kernel based distro instead. Puppy is a limited use distro mainly for older systems.

/lib/modules/2.6.33.2/kernel

./net/ipv6
./net/ipv6/ipv6.ko
./net/ipv6/netfilter/ip6t_ipv6header.ko
./net/ipv6/netfilter/nf_conntrack_ipv6.ko

DOTconfig :

DOTconfig-k2.6.33.2-27MAY2010-LUPU-SMP-TICKLESS
579:CONFIG_IPV6=m
580:# CONFIG_IPV6_PRIVACY is not set
581:# CONFIG_IPV6_ROUTER_PREF is not set
582:# CONFIG_IPV6_OPTIMISTIC_DAD is not set
586:# CONFIG_IPV6_MIP6 is not set
593:CONFIG_IPV6_SIT=m
594:# CONFIG_IPV6_SIT_6RD is not set
595:CONFIG_IPV6_NDISC_NODETYPE=y
596:# CONFIG_IPV6_TUNNEL is not set
597:# CONFIG_IPV6_MULTIPLE_TABLES is not set
598:# CONFIG_IPV6_MROUTE is not set
726:# IPv6: Netfilter Configuration
728:CONFIG_NF_CONNTRACK_IPV6=m
736:CONFIG_IP6_NF_MATCH_IPV6HEADER=m

AS USUAL : USE THE modprobe COMMAND
Code:
modprobe -v --first-time ipv6

Because the kernel might be a little out of date ,
to recognize the modem correctly or at all ,
try later Puppies :

Puppy Derivatives
