Question I would like to copy a letter from Abiword to an external thumb drive.,in Puppy Linux


I would like to print a letter that I wrote in Abiword ,then download it to a thumbdrive to later transfer it to my mint desktop and print out on my Brother MFC printer.

This is on a Live cd Puppy Linux Distro ,Precise 5.5

And where have you got stuck? Have you inserted the thumb drive? Have you mounted it?

Yes ,I mounted the thumb drive; now ,I tried to add it to the thumb drive ,but no luck.

you should be able to open up two windows, one with the letter located in it and one of the usb directory and then just drag and drop. When you drag and drop in puppy you should get a pop up window asking if you want to copying or move. What kind of error messages are you getting? If you do the short key method puppy will pop up a window that you will have to type in the path/name of file.
