Failed to execute child process

I have Downloads under arguments to pass for Thunar.

I want Thunar to open up with the Downloads directory.

When I click on the icon, it says "Failed to execute child process "usr/share/...
/Thunar.desktop" (Permission denied)

Can someone help me ?

I found out that versions of Thunar after 1.40 no longer support starting in specified directories.

I am trying to find Thunar 1.40 pet, but no luck so far.

I tried to compile the source, but got all kinds of errors.
