Error message

I am running "Puppy Lucid 5.2.8" on an IBM R50e laptop. On startup I get this error message.

EXT2-fs (sda1):error: ext2-lookup:deleted inode referenced:8963458

It is repeated about a dozen times. Got a feeling that this is something that I should correct but I don't have a clue where to start. Any help will be appreciated. Ev

If you have a live boot medium fsck it otherwise

tune2fs -c 2 /dev/sda1
tune2fs -C 3 /dev/sda1
