Desktop icons disappeared in Linux Puppy (new install)
new to puppy, but quite impressed by it,, but all my desktop icons seem to have disappeared,, don't know why or how to get them back,, do i need to re-install?
Most times when the desktop icons poof its nothing major. try restarting x. If that does not work try a reboot. Sometimes the desktop does not load properly for me & usually restarting x will fix it.
What version of puppy are you using?
I would suggest giving as much info about what happened as possible. For example did you install an sfs file? did you install a specific program or update the graphics driver?
