D-LINK DSL200 USB modem on Puppy Linux 2.14
 

Anyone can tell me a step-by-step guide to install D-LINK DSL200 usb adsl modem on Puppy Linux 2.14, puppy-2.14-seamonkey-fulldrivers?

I got driver for that modem from http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/download.php and I know it works on Ubuntu. But I have no idea on how to install it on Puppy. To start with I don't even know which one I should download from the download list. Should I go with Sources (gzip) given that Puppy is not listed there?

Would really appreciate if someone can give me a step-by-step guide as I am really novice in linux. Thanks.

Well I'm not familiar with your modem but if its any help packages from debian particularily and from other linux versions can often be used in puppy ...there are install scripts for such things included.

Alternatively to complie from source (i had to for a speedtouch modem..the most awkward one there is!) you will need the devx_xxx.sfs (xxx= puppy version eg 212) included on your home partition and then you can make in the usual way.
