Correct cli to specify and load alternativefonts in rxvt?

I looked up the font paths and have used a direct path
(rxvt -fn /usr/X11R7/lib/X11/fonts/misc/8x16.pcf), but always get the "rxvt: can't load font "/usr/X11R7/lib/X11/fonts/misc/8x16.pcf" error. I'd like to reset my console fonts to be different than the default. Apparently I'm doing something incorrectly.

Thanks. This issue is resolved.

I found a post on the net that said to type "xlsfonts" in a terminal window and use the font aliases that show up. Works great.
