Chattr problem

What is the deal with chattr ?

.retrovolrc is in the root dir.

# chattr +i .retrovolrc
#

No error message.

There is a message if file does not exist which does not apply in this case.

How can you track down problems like this ?

No problem with +i with files in other directories ?

Andy

Solved

I found out what the problem was.

Somehow, root had the immutable bit set. (My fault )

Sorry for the trouble.
