Can't print in greyscale

When I try to print a html document in either Firefox or Seamonkey, there is no option to print in just black and white.

How can I print in greyscale ?

I have that option in Seamonkey with my HP printer on Slackware --Current.

File-->Print-->Color-->Output Mode color|high quality [greyscale|black only greyscale].

This may have to do with my using the HPLIP package to set up the printer. I'm guessing this is not a Puppy issue or a browser issue, but a printer driver issue. What printer make/model and what printer driver are you using?

I am using a Canon MG 2220 printer.

Drivers came from links on the Puppy Forum website.

Geany does not offer a gray scale option either, so you are right that it is not a browser issue.

Canon is not well-known for its support of Linux, particularly in the USA.

This might help, but I have no way of testing it: http://fossfolks.com/hardware/making...nt-from-linux/

You can change cups setting to print in Black and White, if the app doesn't supports.

Thanks gentlemen.

Modifying the printer using CUPS somehow got it to show a color option.
