LQ Calendar: why is start/end time mandatory?
Specific start/end times aren't always applicable to an event.

Some events, but not all, have specific times when they start and end. Some events could be posted to the LQ Calendar, with links to the relevant web pages, but specific times haven't yet been determined by event organizers. And some events are best described as "during normal business hours" or "5:00pm until everyone goes home." A more flexible time scheme on the calendar would be very helpful in this regard.

Thanks for the feedback. The calendar currently offers "All Day" and specific time ranges when adding an event. We don't have any plans to allow for free form text at this time.
