wxWidgets keycodes to X Keycodes

Hello together,

I need to convert the wxWidgets keycodes to X keycodes.
Since I did not find a function to do this, I just wrote a function for translation by a big "case" loop.
I am done with all the wxWidget keycodes defines. This does not include keycodes represented by ASCII characters.
I could add ASCII characters to the function, but before I start I wondered:
Is there another way to convert an ASCII character to an X Keycode?

Thanks!
nathan
