I want to try to write a new tool for the Gimp. It would be a combination of the path tool and the gradient. I would like to have a clickable mouse interface, and I do not know if a normal plugin can do this.
My goal is provide a tool that can draw paths and then generate user controlled dynamic gradients between each path-node.
I'm looking for some good resources to start with. I figure that the Path tool and the Gradient tool obviously have parts of the functionality that I want. Does anyone know good resources to start with? Or perhaps some other good information on writing such a plugin for the Gimp?
Maybe you are on the path to the script-fu mastery! Check this Script-fu tutorial and see the references section. Plugins can be written also in Perl or Python.
