work paid for writing Linux drivers?


I can't seem to find anything concrete on the internet about programming audio card drivers for Linux (paid). That is what
I wanna do as a job. Whit all the education and every thing is
this possible?

There's a lot of audio drivers already incorporated in the kernel so you depending on your skills you may be looking for (or be confined to) cutting edge (or niche market) stuff, in which case I would suggest you instead find a vendor that makes quality audio HW and does already (or not yet) support Linux?..

can they make me do closed drivers even if I'm only interested in open source?
