wireless sniffer


anyone here ever written a wireless sniffer, or know a good place for me to research how to write one?

Kraphas3: we dont speak or listen to any of that phreaker rubbish here.

darthczyz: a wireless sniffer would be no different than a normal one wireless networks still run ip, tcp, udp. so snort should do just fine.

for a normal sniffer tcpdump or ethereal would do just fine on a wireless connection.

if what you mean is that you want to have a sniffer that can detect wirless networks in your antenna range and this and that check out:
