which i386 rpm is the archiving command 'ar' found in??
 
looking for the rpm that has 'ar' in it. Can anyone help. i thought it would be soemthing like ar-3.0.0.rpm or something, but i couldnt find one. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go to rpm.pbone.net and use the "advanced search"....make it find packages that include the file you type (ar) and select your distro and go....it should find it, if it exists ;)

It should be in binutils.
