where are libs and headers


can anyone tell me how and where i can find out what libs and header files i am using or are avail in my system please?

Try using 'slocate <header name>'

This is how I found out where the headers are....

Like in "which physical file"?
find / -iname "*.so"
find / -iname "*.[h|hpp]"


Or which packages?

grep \/lib\/ /var/log/packages
grep \/include\/ /var/log/packages
