what is disk I/O system call ?


Hi All,
I'm trying to write a C program to get and display disk I/O ... what is the system call to do this without using any additional program (like iostat) ???

bash$ fgrep disk_io /proc/stat
disk_io: (3,0):(14577,9162,253813,5415,229344)
Then in "man proc" search for "disk_io"
