wget -i : getting error

Hi,

I'm trying to make an automatic ftp process using wget and cron.

I don't want to send the authentification in clear with:

ftp://username: password@ftp.server.net

I would like to use a file (myAuth) containing the URL:

wget -i /home/me/myAuth

But I'm getting the following error:

/home/me/myAuth:Permission denied
unable to find URL in /home/me/myAuth

How can I change the permission for myAuth that it accepts to be parsed by wget?

Or is there another way to use wget and keeping the username/password safe for an ftp session?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards ...

Traced

Try using ncftpget.
ncftpget has a -f option where you can specifiy a file with the host, user and password.
