vim plugin - taglist doesn't work correctly

i use -
redhat 7.2
vim 6.1
taglist 2.6(plugin)

i create .vimrc, add 'syntax on' at the first line(the only line)
(of cause, taglist.vim is at ~/.vim/plugin)

when i open a .c file, it seems taglist works properly. however, when i add/delete a function. the taglist doesn't change(even i try to use 'u'(update) command)! if i close it and open it again. the change appear!

why?
thank u!
