The question does not have to be directly related to Linux and any language is fair game.

I've been looking around for a resource I can use to help me learn how to configure the Vim on my Linux system to work as a programming IDE for scripting languages.
I add Syntastic, UltiSnips, Fugitive (for git), Command-T (if I can't get vim with Ruby support then I settle for Nerdtree), YouCompleteMe and rainbow_parentheses. I manage these with Vundle. For Python I add vim-virtualenv, and for PHP I add vimDBGp.
Hey dugan, cheers for all the helpful info (especially vundle, makes it a breeze) ... have been meaning to look into this for a while
Without, hopefully, hijacking this question, do you have any additions to assist with using our shiny new ide with sql and specifically Oracle pl/sql?
Also, in addition, do you know of anyway to hook the ide into the database so it can pull syntactic / completion information while writing packages / scripts?

Hi Grail. Google got me a pl/sql linter, which you should be able to wrap in Syntastic plugin that you'll have to write.

Unfortunately, I don't think that that's possible.
