Using J2ME and EJB together

hai..

I have to do a project for my distributed component architecture course. I thought a distributed chatting and file transferring system across hand held devices(mobile phones) using J2ME. EJB was my choice for the middleware.. I have little knowledge on them.. Will they work well together.. How hard my project would be.. Is it worth doing.. If not please suggest a better project..

loads of thanks in advance..
