using apache mpm for my own project?

hiho@ll

anybody ever used the apache Multi-Processing-Module for your own project?
is there some doc which describes how i can do this?

i thought about using the mpm as a "server-front-end" which accepts the connections and my "server backend" does the logic (e.g. receive data, transmit ....)

i only found apache doc which describes some config stuff and a bit how mpm works
but it's hard (and takes long time) if i need to read the code to implement it for my own architecture

so is there a resource which explains using mpm for my own purpose?

thx@ll
