Torrent File Parsing with PHP
Hey all,
I'm interested in making a small torrent site. How does one go about creating torrent files, and then parsing information out of them? Is it possible to upload a file to a server, and have PHP create a torrent for the file, or upload a torrent file and have PHP parse the information in human readable text? Thanks for any tips in the right direction. |
Hi wh33t,
Although I'm not able to directly answer your questions I can point you to a source that I used last year when building a tracker website. http://phpbttrkplus.sourceforge.net/ This is an open source PHP based tracker that you can download and look at their code. I recall it being fairly simple so give it a try. It is a fully functional tracker running off the standard Linux LAMP. Best of luck :) |
Thanks dude.
Does that php tracker just parse out torrent file information? Or is it a whole tracker system, like Btjunkie, thepiratebay etc? |
