tkinter integration to python 2.3.4

Hi.I'm working on Fedora Core 3.There is no tkinter module in python 2.3.4 that comes with Fedora distribution. How can I embed tkinter into my python without compiling python again?I didn't find this module externally.I want to use idle and leo (python IDE's) but they want tkinter module. (NOTE:Why Fedora 3 doesn't consist of IDLE?)

I'm sorry.I found tkinter module and idle from my Fedora3 CDs.Idle is in python-tools rpm package and tkinter is another rpm package(independent from python package.) As far as I can remember these packages are in 3. or
4. cds. I'm now happy to see that tkinter and my python editors (idle, leo) are running successfully:)
