Are there any other ways to create threads in Linux and pthread_create()?

g_thread_create()

GLib has a whole collection of thread services that make threads almost simple. Get a copy of DevHelp and look at the GLib reference manual under "GLib Core Application Support".

Devhelp (Online reference books for Linux...) $ yum install devhelp
