telnet windows m/c from unix shell script

Hi,

I would like to know whether its possible to telnet a Windows m/c and to invoke a file to run in the Windows environment from Korn Shell Script.
How can I verify that run has finished too ?

Is this possible without the use of any tools available?

Any ideas or solutions are welcome.
