Suggestion: the best place to ask Perl questions, of any kind and at any level of wizardry, is ...

See you there!

P.S. that's not meant to say anything at all about this place, but PerlMonks specializes in Perl (on all platforms).

Hi,

I think it depends on your knowledge. For newbie-questions I would say that here is the appropriate place.

But if you think of recent changes in Perl, modern concepts like closures or higher order programming, then you are right, perlmonks is the better place to ask.

Don't forget the newsgroup comp.lang.perl.misc

But note that perl comes with an excellent online-help-system, you'll only have to type "perldoc" in your terminal.

Markus

Believe me when I say that I am not trying to make any sort of "value judgment" between these two sites. Just pointing out that there exists a site which is a single-language specialist.
