Subversion client for GNOME (nautilus integration)
Do you know of any Subversion (SVN) client that integrates with nautilus, or at least do you know of any nautilus-scripts that enable the integration with SVN?
I basically need just 3 options from the GUI: commit, update and log with option to compare versions. In KDE I used kdesvn, but I don't think there is an easy way to integrate it with nautilus...
Any thoughts?
I think I found something interesting: http://marius.scurtescu.com/?p=102
These are just simple bash scripts but they seem to do the job so far. Anyway, if someone knows a better app (sth like kdesvn, snce I'm not even dreaming of TortoiseSVN-like app for Linux), please drop a note.
Just stumbled over this one. It's very, very early and I haven't even tried it out yet (not sure I wanna try 0.0.1 versions, but perhaps someone wants to!)
I know it's been quite a while since this thread was created. I just stumbled upon RapidSVN, available for the Gnome desktop environment. Currently testing it out to see how it compares to kdesvn and tortoise svn on the windows platform.
I have tested RapidSVN 0.1.0 (the one included in Ubuntu Karmic)
The repository browsing feature is OK but the local copy management is not sophisticated enough. For example I couldn't find any way to define an ignore list and RapidSVN seems to ignore the settings of the SVN client (e.g.: global-ignore).
I am currently testing RabbitVCS and its Nautilus integration. It looks very good so far.
- Gets the settings of the SVN client automatically (like global-ignores) and seems to use them properly (at least with Add so far)
- It integrates with Nautilus nicely. It annotates file and folder icons with their SVN status.
- Its repository browser is fairly sophisticated
RabbitVCS has a PPA for Karmic so it is easy to install it.
