Start-Up Linx Question


I understand that everytime, the system starts up certain applications are activated. Is there any way to access this process and eliminate some application, so next time that start-up happens these application are not activated?

If you want a GUI tool to configurate:

ntsysv

If you prefeer shell, take a look at /etc/rc.d/rcX.d
(where X is the level you're starting at. All scripts starting with "S" are started and the ones with a "K" are not

alternately u can run "setup" at the bash shell and tick/untick the services you want to start at booting
