splitting results in more web pages

I've a web page where I can search information in my database.
Sometimes results of search operation are more of fifty.
How can I split results in different web page as it happens for example in any search engine or operation?

thank you in advance for answers.

You mean how you can place search result in two web pages rather than one if there are 50 or more search results ?

What is your DB? You can limit the result to a factor depending on your page iterator

I'm using Perl/CGI.

It's not a sufficient answer. Perl/CGI are names of the language and of technology, but these items give absolutely no details about how the web page is generated.

Why wouldn't you first locate the piece of code specifically responsible for your WEB page generation ?
