shel script/search for a function

hi all;

using shell script i want to open one file (existing file)and inert two lines at begining of file.and search one function inside the same file and insert two lines inside that function..please help me to write one script

You'll probably be able to do this with the command "sed". See "info sed" and "man sed" for its documentation.
