hi

Can anyone tell me how I can use sftp to transfer a file from login-s to my local computer?

Type in "man scp", and it'll tell you how to use it.

For example:

scp <user name>@<remote computer address or name>:/path/to/file /local/path/to/copy/to

Will transfer the file from the remote system to your local. Swap the parameters to send a file from local to remote.
