selecting language


hi all
i am developing a voip base software.. it a freephone with chat.
so, i need to do an enhancement of language option .
so, how can i do if i select a language like
english
french
germen
chinees
....... like these
the text have to convert in that selected language ..

i hope am clear to explain my problem

can you help me

No, you're not so clear on your question. Wich programming language are you using? Are you trying to do a translator? Or it's just for the program texts? Is it a online program (HTML output, like php or cgi) or something different?

yeah! am trying to translator
online program

it is just a softphone..
initially we have to select a language (asking like choose ypur language).
if we click french the whole software ( mean text in that)
will convert it in to french..

can you help me

I'm not familiar with gtk. I can't help you... But I think lately is growing the use of .po files, where program translations are saved. Take a look at KBabel, may be it gives you some ideas.
