scanner


Hi,

Can anyone kindly refer me to a good beginners guide of writing a tutorial in C or can provide me an example code, I'll be so grateful.

Im not sure what your asking for. Are you asking for a tutorial to learn how to program in C or how to write a tutorial in C?

Sorry, I couldn't explain it well, I actually mean that can anyone provide me code or a tutorial for writing a port scanner in linux C.

You might want to take a look at the source code of nmap -- I believe it is coded in C.

That is to hard to understand the code of nmap isn't there any thing easier from which I can start from?

Why do I feel I have seen this question asked before.... You might want to start with C socket programming and then work from there. I know nmap is a fairly advanced program to start off with but I don't know of any other program that is simpler. Scanning ports in general is not a simple task to preform.
