can anyone tell me is there a method in Java to "fseek" to a fixed position in a file residing on a particular server/ machine thru a network connection ? i am planning to write a resume supported download app in java , i plan to keep track of the no: of bytes downloaded, and mark the eof with a special tag..but how do i continue to download from that postion in my next session ?? any links, suggestions all will be welcome
