regular expression matching

I basically I have a string which contains two number with a space in between them and I want to be able to make sure it's exactly that. The numbers within the string can both be up to 10. Is it possible regular expression will be abe to do this?
Please tell me about a good book / tutorial

Dont give me the answer please because this is for cw I will get in trouble.

Search (Freshmeat.net, IIRC) for "txt2regex". Only depends on shell.
Nice tutor because it shows the regexes while you build 'em.
