Regarding Shell Script Compiler SHC

Hi,

I have written shell script which must be encrypted. I use shc to encrypt shell scripts to binary format. And the output binary file works fine in local machine. If i port that binary script to some other
machines, it fails to work and says "SHELL have changed". If i copy original shell script and use shc on that machine. it works fine.

And I want that binary script to run on all machines. (i.e. it should be portable)

How to get rid of this prob,

Any help appreciated.

Thanx in advance
Jagadish

What's the shell difference between those systems then? Tried the "-r" flag? Tried the "-T" flag and stracing it? For me the test.bash example doesn't work across systems unless I change the she-bang line to read "#!/bin/sh".

BTW, you are aware of the Limitations of shc, right?

I had a look at shc some time ago. As I recall, it seems to compile the path hard-coded and even moving the compiled script on the same machine seemed to break them.
