Real n00b question about controls

Hi,

I have been searching and playing around with Anjuta/glade and cannot work this out, basically I want to create a Qt control, such as an editfield and place it on an existing window with code, I am from a Windows programming background and would usually do this by obtaining a HWND for the parent window and creating the control with CreateWindow but I cannot figure out how to do it in Linux, could somebody point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Glade is a tool to build GTK windows, not Qt ones. If you have Qt code, use Qt-Designer (designer, designer3 or qtdesigner - program name depends on the distribution). Or, maybe easier, do it manually: just create a QLineEdit object and put it in the right place.
