i am doing a bittorrent client which is my project..using rasterbar libtorrent library.
Followed these instructions for compiling libtorrent with boost and asio libraries
.To start learning i went into "examples" folder in libttorrent source and try to compile simple_client.cpp just using g++ and it didn't work out so.. i tried to steal the deluge-torrent compilation line..when we do "make" in deluge source..
g++ -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -fwrapv -O2 -Wall -fPIC -I/usr/local/include/libtorrent -I/usr/include/python2.5 -I/usr/include/python2.5 -Wno-missing-braces -DHAVE_INCLUDE_LIBTORRENT_ASIO____ASIO_HPP=1 -DHAVE_INCLUDE_LIBTORRENT_ASIO_SSL_STREAM_HPP=1 -DHAVE_INCLUDE_LIBTORRENT_ASIO_IP_TCP_HPP=1 -DHAVE_PTHREAD=1 -DTORRENT_USE_OPENSSL=1 -DHAVE_SSL=1 -DNDEBUG=1 -O2 -c simple_client.cpp
it resulted in couple of warnings but..got a simple_client.o..but not an executable..how do i make an executable out of it..? i tried a simple 'ld' on simple_client.o and it result in a hailstorm of link errors..
Is there an easy way to compile the code..i dun know what is going on in the above g++ compilation parameters..
